A 470-hp Duramax diesel 6.6-liter V-8 engine is optional for those who want maximum power and towing capacity (up to 22,500 pounds). Both engines pair with a 10-speed automatic and either rear- or four-wheel drive, depending on your needs. Despite its size and potent engines, the Silverado 2500 with the Duramax diesel can still hit 0-60 mph in a reasonable 6.4 seconds.

Key Configuration Choices

The Silverado 2500HD is available in a choice of three cab configurations, including:

  • Three-seater Regular Cab
  • Six-seater Double Cab
  • Six-seater Crew Cab

There are also two bed lengths, including:
